An Approved Driving Instructor (ADI) is someone registered with the Driving Standards Agency (DSA) and is certified to be able to deliver an approved standard of driving tuition.
Potential Driving Instructors (or PDIs) need to take three examinations in order to become an Approved Driving Instructor (ADI). These examinations are; a theory test, a driving ability assessment and an instructional ability test. PDIs that have passed the first two examinations can apply for a trainee license, allowing them to legally start earning an income from driving tuition. |
